Up for your consideration is a rare antique candy scale. I am not sure of the exact age, I believe it is likely late 1800s - early 1900s. This is is a beautiful Eagle Family Scale. It is a cast iron scale with a Porcelain face & tin scoop pan tray. It is likely a candy scale from counter probably at the local mercantile or general store but could have also been a kitchen scale. This particular scale is in good to the very good side of fair condition for its age. I am not sure if this is the original paint on the scoop, It possibly could have been painted at some point over the years. The color is fabulous. There is normal paint wear, mars, marks & scratches. The pan is present & is good overall condition with wear consistent with age & some light surface rust. There is paint wear & rust on the cast iron body as shown which has created a wonderful patina. This would make an incredible decor piece in any home or store. This is a heavy, substantial piece. It is solid iron not a thin tin scale. Size - 12.25"L x 7.5"W x 15.75"H the pan is 12.5" x 7.25" x 4.75" I ship FedEx & UPS also, so if it ends up being less than what is calculated by Etsy for the P.O. then I will automatically ship FedEx or UPS.
