Description

Brand: Pharaoh's Closet Set of: 4 Canopic Jars Set Weight: 1788 g Materials: Alabaster Handmade in: Giza, Egypt Presenting you the finest & most realistic Egyptian Canopic Jars ever! They're made with pure white alabaster, the same exact material that has been used by the ancient Egyptians in creating their own sacred amulets, tools & objects. Each Jar is precisely handmade & designed to match the authentic ones. They're so real that we had to get them verified thru the Egyptian Authority of Antiquities in order to sell them! Our jars are also hand-inscribed with the same mystical hieroglyphic letters to unleash the Pharaonic blessings into your space & to shield your soul from any evil or harm. Canopic jars were containers in which the separately mummified organs would be placed. The best known versions of these jars have lids in the shape of the heads of protective deities called the four Sons of Horus. The human-headed Imsety was the guardian of the liver; the baboon-headed Hapy looked after the lungs; the jackal-headed Duamutef was responsible for the stomach; & the falcon-headed Qebehsenuef cared for the intestines. It was believed that all of these were needed for the afterlife. There was no jar for the heart: the Egyptians believed it to be the seat of the soul, & so it was left inside the body. The lid of the jar here is removable, but the cavity is not large enough to hold an organ. The jar dates to a period during which the internal organs were mummified & then placed back into the mummy, but canopic jars continued to be included as part of the burial equipment in order to ensure the protection of the four Sons of Horus. This exquisite set is perfect for home/office decoration & can be a wonderful gift for your beloved ones.
