Description

For information regarding the art, the artist & higher-end original prints, please visit my site at: https://dwighthwang.com/ Gyotaku fish reproduction print of a Hawaiian Ahi Tuna (Mebachi) rubbing. Faithful to the original Japanese style of creating memorable nature prints. Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese alternative to Taxidermy that began several hundred years ago in Japan. Meant as a way to record a proud catch for Japanese fishermen, it is also a unique art form of nature printing. Reproduction prints that I offer are museum grade Giclee prints on premium art rag paper or handmade washi paper. Please refer to the photos of the differences between the two types of paper. If you like one of my images but prefer it in a different size, simply inquire. Anything is possible up to 60 inches, as well as printing on different materials such as canvas or Japanese washi paper. We offer custom framing services to float mount your artwork inside a beautiful corkwood shadowbox frame. We also offer mounting our artwork onto birch panels (similar to canvas wraps) & brocaded silk scrolls. Please take a look at the sample photos. Colors WILL vary to match the artwork. Note that these services will take 1-2 weeks to complete & customers outside of the US will be given price quotes for shipping after sale. Please don't hesitate in contacting me regarding this print or other specimens that you may be looking for! Ahi Tuna | Mebachi - Gyotaku Print Traditional Japanese Fish Art By Dwight Hwang
