With 2 elaborate painted landscape images this large antique tole metal montieth was designed as an interior planter for centerpiece use or similar large decor form where a 360 degree view was desired. Classic high quality landscapes make this an unusual take on a classic form. Most likely French fromthe inverted Fleur de lis forms around the edge. Measures: 19" x 17" x 7" deep across upper edge = 15" x 12" oval base- 11" long landscape paintings on each side as well as gold trim on short sides - no makers ID. light surface age to interior & underside but overall great condition.
