Eryngium Bourgatti - Mediterranean Sea Holly is a very attractive plant that has deeply lobed, dark green foliage that appears before the flowers, & is marbled with veins that are a silvery white color which makes it look luminous. It's branched stems then produce cone-like flower heads that have narrow, spiny bracts that are a silvery-blue that makes this plant look great in dried arrangements. It's blooming season ranges from mid to late Summer, will grow between 18 - 24 inches tall, does best in full sun with well-drained soils, & is also drought tolerant. The sunnier the site, the more intense the blue color will be in the flowers! These plants will bring pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies & Bees while being resistant to Deer & Rabbits. The showy flowers make great cut flowers, are perfect for dried arrangements, & also do well in containers, & in beds & borders in the garden.
