Weight: 22.5g Dimensions: 2.75" wide x 1/75" tall Hallmarks: Sterling This is a very old sterling brooch with enamel. Marked sterling, it has a traditional C clasp. The heart reads: Qui Mal Y Pense which is aFrench maxim used as the motto of the British chivalric order of garter. Translates as: 'May he be shamed who thinks badly of it' or 'shame be to him who thinks evil of it'. Good condition, some discoloration on the white enamel, one tiny speck missing near the top.
