You will receive the exact tone that you've ordered. The material is 85 % wool & 15 % merino. Often at Waldorf Schools this is type of wool will be used for the first knitting projects. This listing is for one ball of yarn. Each ball of yarn is 1 oz, about 1/4th of a skein. You can also use this yarn for finger knitting.
