A really pretty green floral 1950s wiggle dress. I believe it was hand sewn. The top layer is a sheer organza or chiffon with a textured green tulips pattern. Underneath the lining is a beige synthetic fabric, maybe rayon or acetate? There are darts in the bust & matching piping along the waist. There is a long metal zipper & single hook & eye in the back. There are 7 inch slits on both sides of the dress. Bust - 34" (86.36 cm) Waist - 27" (68.58 cm) Hips - 38" (96.52 cm) measured14" below armpit Length - 41.5" (105.41 cm) shoulder to hem Arm holes - 16" (40.64 cm) circumference Condition - Good. The zipper is a bit hard to move up & down. It looks like there was a 6 inch repair to the right side seam just above the slit, & a small tear above the slit (last photo. They're not very noticeable unless inspecting closely). There is some light discoloration to the inside lining of the neck & around the arms. Again, not too noticeable unless you are looking closely. This should best fit a modern size Extra Small to Small. The fabric does not stretch. The dress is modeled on a Small dress form, with a 34" bust, 25.5" waist, & 33" hips.
