Description

Antique Barclay Bronzed Toy Terrier Dog Art. Signed McClelland Barclay (American, 1891 - 1943). Seen few of these called figurines, even thought this has an ink blotter shape base, there is no rocker pad. Check bottom picture to see clip on bottom possible to hold something else. I'm going with plated bronze nonmagnetic spelter type metal, but this particular one has very nice rich original finish. Condition is good for its age with average finish wear mostly on bottom with scratches, scuffs, verdigris, tarnishing, nice patina & still looks great. Measures 2 7/8" long, 2" wide & close to 2 3/8" tall to top of ears. Grey metal with nice weight at solid 7 oz. Found some fun info on this historic company from the great Wikipedia at bottom of page. Guessing made 1930s. Cool Old McClelland Barclay Dog!! Shipping for lower 48 states. Note: Stands & bases not included. Please check pictures for description & condition. Shipping prices are for the lower 48 states only. These products were fabricated out of cast grey metal with a thick bronze plate finish & they retailed for just a few dollars.
