We do not clean our items - this has some patina & would polish up brighter silver Sturdy & tight tie clip with a great carved intaglio depicting an Asian pagoda. It has the appearance similar to a hologram with a dimensional effect. The pictures don't do this justice, it's so much clearer & more beautiful in person. Definitely one of the best reversed carved intaglios I've seen. The clip is just over 1-1/2" (4.0 cm) long by 3/16" (5 mm) wide. The glass is just over 1/2" (1.5 cm) tall by the same wide by about 5/16" (8 mm) deep. Marked 'Sterling' under the clip. Weight - 7.4 g / .26 oz. A pagoda is a tiered tower with multiple level eaves. They can be found all around in Asia & were mainly built to have a religious function. These are most often Buddhist & sometimes also Taoist.
