GEMSTONE TWISTED METAL Handle Vintage Umbrella...1920-1940...Nylon, Ribbed, Easy Open...Snap Close...Spectacular! This gorgeous umbrella features a long silver top end, a black nylon body, a built in snap closure, & a long, metal body with a textured piece & a handle with a twisted end. The best part is the white faceted stone built into the handle of the umbrella. It shines & reflects the light, picking up shades of pink. I have never seen anything like it! It is ribbed in the inside & has two push clips that pull upwards to keep the umbrella securely in place. I can not see a maker's mark. I am guessing it is from 1920-1940 by it's design & materials. It may even be an earlier piece. All of the pieces work as they should! There is Patina on the snap & the bottom metal umbrella ends. The small, built in chain is broken. Some age marks/ discoloration marks on the black nylon. There are vintage signs of aging on the metal body & handle. The body of the handle is bent. Please see photos to view all of the imperfections. It can be cleaned or left in its vintage state. It will still make an excellent, useable umbrella. A remarkable piece & a collectible item for the collector! Measures 27 1/2" long. All of my items ship from a smoke free home although I have no way of knowing what they may have been exposed to during their long lives.
