This is the traditional rosary/chaplet Our Lady of Fatima, consisting of 2 large beads & three 8mm beads in the tail & 10 white 8mm stone beads in a loop. The center bears the image of Our Lady of Fatima with the three children, Lucia, Francisco & Jacinta, on the front & contains a small amount of genuine Holy Water from Fatima in the back, & the chaplet ends with an Italian medal of Our Lady of Fatima. The bead caps & separator beads are lead-free Tibetan silver. I wrap-linked each bead by hand, using nickel silver wire for maximum strength & durability to last a lifetime of wear & prayer. This would make a truly thoughtful gift of faith for anytime of year! Lady of the Rosary (she called herself that when Lucia asked her name) Feast Day: 13 May A Brief History: Commemorates the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children in Fatima, Portugal on the 13th of each month from May to October in 1917. Our Lady appeared to Lucia, age 9, Blessed Francisco Marto, age 8, & Blessed Jacinta Marto, age 6, while they were tending sheep; they described her as "a woman all in white, more brilliant than the sun", & her message was to do reparation for sins that offend God, & to pray constantly for the conversion of sinners. She asked for devotion to the Holy Trinity, & for praying the Rosary daily for world peace. Word spread, & by the final apparition on 13 October, 70,000 people showed up to witness the Lady & the sign that she had promised; they witnessed the sun make three circles & zigzag around in the sky.
