I found a collection of old clock faces & clock movements from an old jeweler, & I think he probably repaired or maintained clocks in his day. Judging by the Arabic numerals, I think this face is from the 1930 to 1940 period. The front of the face is decorated with the "ANSONIA" clock company name & "Manufactured by the Ansonia Clock Co., New York USA" on the bottom. The face is metal, probably tin, which has been printed on one side, & the face is slightly arched. It is in fair to good condition, with obvious wear & tear, dings & small dents, all of which attest to its age & a good working life. The face measures about 5 3/4" in diameter, & the inside diameter of the holes is about 5/16", & the holes at the 4 & 8 position are 1 3/4" on center away from the center hole. in fair condition.
