Ran across a extensive collection of ink blottter advertising cards. Just a brief history, before modern pens people used fountain & dip ink pens. Before the first use of the pen there would be a large build up on the top of the pen. This would "blot" the paper & make a large stain. The fix would be to blot or dap your pen on a piece of paper to get rid of this excess ink. Advertisers & manufacturers would hand out this card board pieces with there information on them! There would be funny sayings, story's calendars & even pin up girls! This collection has every type of product from ALL over the country. Check out the phone numbers many are only 3-5 digits & no area codes! Some even have letters in the number?! These date from the 1930's. These are fun no address no state or city! So oblivious these are old! They were meant to be LOCAL advertising! Lol This is a vintage item that is described as best as possible.
