This beautiful, Sommerso (a technique used to create the illusion of immersed colors that lay on top of each other) art glass piece can be used as a votive holder or as a vase. The Sommerso technique was created by Italian designer, Flavio Poli. This piece has a color combination of aquamarine, green & blue, giving it a feel of water. The pedestal & top are separate pieces that are permanently affixed. A wonderful piece that is particularly fitting for coastal decor! the most common techniques is "Sommerso", which in Italian literally means "submerged". This technique is used to create several layers of glass (usually with different contrasting colors) inside a single object, giving the illusion of "immersed" colors that lay on top of each other without mixing Measurements - 6 1/2" in height.
