Incredible Vintage 1960's hooded cloak/cape from the Western region of Morocco, referred to as Akhnif. Commonly worn by Berber Shepard's. The red eye on the back is to ward off evil, the lizard & it's tongue are to pierce evil & the allover woven patterns depict talismanic tattoos. Completely handwoven work of art & incredibly warm. These may belong in a museum, but for now are for sale.
