Hercules & Cerberus the Three-Headed Dog of Hades Guardian of the Underworld - Heracles & Kerberos Red Figure Amphora - Museum Replica Condition: New, Copy, Handmade in Greece Material: Clay Height: 35cm (14") The original dating approximately at 520BC is at the Museum of Louvre in Paris. Heracles kneeling at the gates of Haides, chains the twy-headed hound Kerberos. Red-figure vase painting is one of the most important styles of figural Greek vase painting. It developed in Athens around 530 BC & remained in use until the late 3rd century BC. It replaced the previously dominant style of Black-figure vase painting within a few decades. Its modern name is based on figural depictions in red color on a black background, in contrast to the preceding black-figure style with black figures on a red background. It was Hand made in Greece, its height is approximately 14 inches. Our clay items are Hand painted & not fastly made, nor are they cheaply made of substitute materials such as resin. We stick to the materials & methods used by ancient Greeks & use only top-quality ceramics & paints. Do not expect "perfection" as if these clay vases were not mass produced from a machine like many are but by hand. (5) Note that sizes may vary a little because everything is Hand Made Check our collection of ceramic vases at https://www.etsy.com/shop/TalosArtifacts?ref=profile_header§ion_id=37382206 Hercules & Cerberus The Three-Headed Dog Of Hades Guardian Underworld - Heracles Kerberos Red Figure Amphora Museum Replica
