This is a beautiful handmade carving for the wall either made in Mexico or Ecuador or another Latino or South American country. It is signed by the artist though I am unsure of the exact name. It came from a private collection that was filled with all kinds of wonderful carvings & artwork from all over the world. The carving appears to depict a cowboy with something over his shoulder that could be a stylized guitar or some other instrument. I'm not really sure. Do you know what he's holding in his arms? Also do you recognize the artist signature? I really can't make it out. The carving is from a solid piece of wood & measures about 19 1/2 inches tall & about 7 1/2 inches wide, & it's approximately 3/4 inches deep. His hat has a yellow painted band, his shirt is painted purple with red & green accents, & his pants are yellow with a colorful pattern. in very good to excellent preowned vintage condition, the carving is free from any damage or repair & is ready to enjoy in your home. There's a little notch cut out of the back so it will easily hang from a wall. All I have done to this piece is put a little bit of oil on the unpainted surfaces as it was dried out when I got it.
