A nice hand thrown pottery vase hand crafted by Trudy Erwin of the Orcas Island Pottery. She studied ceramics at the University of Washington under the instruction of Robert Sperry. She passed away in 2013. This pottery vase likely dates to the 1970's to 80's era & features a large mid century style hand decorated flower decoration that wraps around the vase. The piece is glazed in a cobalt blue glaze with large slip glazed flowers done in tones of pink, white, yellow, light blue & dark blue. This vase measures 4.625" tall by 4.25" wide. The base is signed Orcas Island & signed with Trudy Erwin's initials TE. The condition is nice & original on this northwest studio pottery vase. We note a couple of small glaze pops on the pink flower. A great vase for your orcas Island pottery collection.
