"Devon Minnows" are a very old style of artificial lure, dating back to the 1800's. They've been used in this country for almost as long & saw a resurgence in their popularity with the introduction of spinning tackle! Unique action in the water, unlike any modern baits! Perfect for ultralight fishing for Trout, Panfish, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass! This package contains 10 brass, 1/10th oz., winged bodies,15 assorted feathered treble hooks, & a bag of mixed beads. You can make up a few on a piece of 4-8 lb monofilament, or carry the kit with you & make them up directly on your line as you need them. Have some fun! The last couple pics show some suggestions. I wonder how that backwards one would behave in the water! & I just noticed, some of the beads are UV light florescent! Under low light or in stained water they DO make a difference! Just had a thought - you could paint these! Little primer & a can of paint & there ya go! Glue on some glitter! I believe these were a part to a kit for making Devon style spinning lures. Kits like this were very popular in the 1950-60's I know, I bought several "Make your own lures" kits back then with my hard earned paper route money! "The story they have to tell": This "Devon" style of lure was named for an area in England, Devonshire, where they were very popular & probably originated. Enjoy & Good Luck!
