Description
Department of the Navy / Bureau of Ships Electronic Scanning Radar introduced in 1960's the AN/SPS-39 a three-dimensional radar manufactured by Hughes Aircraft Company. It was used by the US Navy as a parabolic-cylinder reflector antenna after World War II, & was equipped aboard naval ships during the Cold War. This contractor model is all metal & pivots on the walnut display base. Quite an unusual & scarcely seen contractor model.
