We named this version of Hare & Hounds - The Dwarf Game. The characters of the game are Brising Brothers & the goddess of love, fertility, & beauty - Frejya. We have three dwarfs: Aelfrig, Berling, & Dwalin. The inspiration of the board game theme was Brisingamen Legend, which caused Frejyas Golden Tears. The legend tells that when Frejya saw that the Dwarfs, sons of Ivaldi, gave Sif - the goddess of grain & fertility & wife of Thor, god of thunder, Golden Hair, she got jealous & wanted something this beautiful for her too. So, she went to the Nedavelir, to Brising Brothers & they made her Brisingamen, but she had to pay for it by spending the knight with each of them. Frejya agreed with the deal... When Frejya got her beautiful necklace, then went home & discovered that her husband - Óðr was gone... She was devastated & started to cry, & her tears became golden... She went to look for him, but couldn't find him. This is the story of how Frejya lost the love of her life for the Brisingamen, the beautiful, Breathtaking necklace from the Brising Brothers.
