A nice hand thrown pottery bowl made by California / Nevada studio potter John Karrasch (1934-2010). John received his BFA from the University of Southern California in 1956 & his MFA in 1963 at the Rhode Island School of Design. He worked at Metlox for a time & exhibited his work at the Syracuse Nationals in 1962, 1964 & 1966. This piece has a finger altered surface & is glazed with a white frothy glaze with brown highlights on the design. It measures 3.5" wide by 2.25" tall. The base has his JK incised mark & his original studio sticker is intact on the side. The condition is nice & original on this pottery piece.
