Description

Flower spikes of lavender on blue held on tall, sturdy stems make an elegant presentation. 4-5' tall x 24" spread. Full sun to part shade. Perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 3a-9b. Average, well-drained soil with even moisture. Blooms summer thru fall. Attracts bees. (Seed source U.S.A.) Seed sowing instructions: Recommended: Sow seed outdoors in late fall or very early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked up, where they are to grow. Alternatively, sow the seed in cell packs or small pots & keep warm (64-72 deg F.) & moist for the first 2-4 weeks. After this period the sowing must be kept at a cold temperature, between 25 & 39oF. for another 4-6 weeks. Place the cell packs or pots into plastic Ziploc bags (so they don't dry out) & place in a cold garage or the refrigerator (not the freezer). After this cooling-period move into a cool area (41-54 deg. F.) for germination. Even if germination has started, don't put in an area that is warmer than this. Continue to grow on & plant out after all danger of frost. We only ship to the 50 states in the U.S.A. If ordered outside the United States the order will be canceled.
