Used in early model automobiles, these batteries were an integral part of the ignition system used, to generate the voltage required for the spark-on-spark plugs. This item was salvaged in an old barn & is in antique condition with an old rustic patina & dovetailing box. One corner has some ware, & the sliding compartment door looks to have been nailed together. I am not an expert in these types of items & unsure of the vehicle model it associated with. It would make a nice conversation piece, display piece or addition to automotive collector. Measurements: 5"x 3 1/4" x 2". -Please, zoom in & view photos closely as they are part of my description.
