A hand-carved medal of St. Sebastian as the patron saint/protector of football players & coaches. The medal comes on a 20-inch stainless steel chain. I design, carve, & cast the medals myself. The medals are made of lead-free pewter & have designs on both sides. Each necklace comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states: "Because Sebastian, an officer in the Roman guards, practiced his Christianity openly, he was charged with worshiping a non-Roman God. He was tied to a tree, shot with arrows, & left for dead. But he recovered & went on practicing his faith. He became the patron of athletes because of his physical endurance (surviving the attempted martyrdom), determination, & spirit. This medal was designed, carved, & cast in pewter at in the Co. of Saints in Covington, Louisiana. The front depicts an offensive & defensive player in action while an angelic Sebastian looks down from above & protects & guides them. The back has a tiny image of the saint surrounded by his name."
