Statement piece Pink Himalayan quartz cluster from Himachal Pradesh, India. High altitude quartz from the Himalayan mountain ranges is renowned for its high quality, & unique features. Crystals are collected in small batches lovingly by hand from miners & carried down in backpacks from elevations in the mountains over 14000 feet! This light blush coloured Himalayan quartz is sometimes referred to as Samadhi quartz, & is extremely coveted for its unique delicate pink to coral-sunset colour & ethereal energy. It's currently up for debate whether the pink colour is caused by subtle hematite inclusions, or a combination of hematite inclusions in addition to aluminum & phosphorus replacements in the silicon crystal lattice. This specific crystal cluster is HEFTY! The crystals are satisfyingly chunky, & some are dusted in a light druzy that glitters under bright light. There are also dashes of green chlorite inclusions here & there. Measures approximately 9.5x7x7 cm, 1.88 kg (over 4 lbs. Please note because the bottom of this piece is covered in tiny crystals, it is prone to shed some dust/crystal crumbs in transit. Please keep in mind because of the volatile mountain environment & the time & care it takes to mine these crystals Himalayan quartz tends to be pricier than other quartz varieties to ensure the miners are paid fairly for their efforts.
