Antique Japanese Raised Relief Metal Embossed Rooster Pen Tray. Antique Calligraphy Desk Pen Tray, Rooster Crowing. Unsigned copper tray that has Rooster crowing in country scene with foliage. Nice fancy flower decorations around top edge, the feet are outstanding with two being flowers connected to branches & other 2 feet look like thick branches or cut wood. Looks copper top side & silver wash on bottom, but though bottom scratches I see copper color & tray is non magnetic. I'm guessing Asian late 1800 early 1900's copper metal. Measures 9 3/8" long x 3 7/8" wide & sits 3/4" tall. Nice weight at solid 3/4 pound. Good condition for the period with average wear with tarnishing, scratches, scuffs, few deep scratches on underside, nice Patina & looks just great! Early 1900's Rooster Tray.
