An original hand colored copper engraving depicting the heraldic Coat of Arms & titles for the English Dukes of Devonshire. This is plate no. 35 from the 1784 large folio edition of Joseph Edmondson's "Baronagium Genealogicum: or, the Pedigrees of the English Peers." The engraving between the plate marks measures 16 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches. It is nicely matted, glazed & framed. The original retailer has placed a descriptive label on the back. CONDITION: The plate has not been examined outside the frame, but it appears to be in excellent condition. The carved wood frame has very slight wear to the finish.
