ABSOLUTELY STUNNING I found myself some amazing Erzgebirge items, I've never seen this decor before. An Erzgebirge Angel Candle Holder, large....approximately 14" tall x 7 1/4" wide @ wings x 3" diameter @ base. The condition of this item is amazing, there is a small bit of paint loss, but it just happens to be on the underneath part of the candle holder. Both have some loss of gold on underside, see pic #9, the other hand has the same amount, ran out of picture spaces. Also, one of the candleholder cups (gold metal) is missing on one hand, see pic's #6-7. Picture #6 has the metal cup & 7 doesn't, not a big problem. Beautiful, vibrant red in color with enameled flowers on front apron, lot of gold, & white decor. Very large wings at her shoulders, also decorated abundantly. She dons a large gold hat, with very striking features. Sticker on bottom, Made in German Democratic Republic. This item is not plentiful on the market, if you do find one they generally have quite a bit of chipping, which this one is very minimal.
