Laurel Burch ANNIE FLOWER Cloisonne Earrings RARE Post Back Vintage Jewelry 1980s Cobalt Blue Turquoise Gold Two sweet cobalt blue & turquoise floral cuties. Each measure approx. 3/4" Long x 1" Wide with 24k gold plated posts. Matte finish brass. Named & signed on the back: Laurel Burch/ANNIE These guys are lovely & really difficult to find. A Genuine LAUREL BURCH COLLECTIBLE from the mid-1980s. This pair is in excellent condition, no chips or repairs may be some very light, fine scratches, or minimal wear around the edges. Laurel Burch went on to launch her business, now called Laurel Burch Artworks, on February 24, 1960. She began making paintings commissioned by restaurants, businesses, & private collectors. "I found metal in a junkyard & hammered it out on the back of an old frying pan." She began making jewelry & selling it on the streets of San Francisco from tackle boxes. Some local stores began stocking her creations, & a businessman, Shashi Singapuri, took samples of her work to China. She went to China in 1971 & discovered cloisonné, a kind of enamel work, with which she designed paintings & had the designs made into earrings.
