This pendant is made from beautiful natural vibrant green gaspeite. Atlantisite (also called Tasmanite) is a relatively new discovery in the gem & mineral world. It is a unique combination of colors & includes the yellow-green matrix that holds a purple & green combination of Stichtite, only occurring in "Stichtite Hill" a small hilltop in Zeehan, Tasmania, where it is mined exclusively. Atlantisite is the high-grade gem material containing Stichtite in Serpentine but in the gemstone also has chromite & magnetite. The 9/16" x 7/8" gemstone is surrounded by a sterling silver bezel & bail, making it 1 3/8" in length. It is set on a beautiful 18" 1.5 mm sterling silver cable chain with a sterling silver spring ring clasp.
