Heljä Liukko-Sundström (simply HLS) is a multi-talented artist. Besides her daily creative work for Arabia Finland, she has authored books for children & in addition she has also designed glass paperweights for Iittala. But best known she is from these lovely naïve ceramic wall plates or pictures & from Bunny series mugs. Here is available a triptych named Ihminen Ja Luonto, which means in English Human & Nature. It is a set of three quite large ceramic, artistic wall plates. They are meant to be hanged besides each other in this certain order as you can notice it shows us a spacious view of quite typical Finnish nature in the summertime. There is only one human in catching fishes, which is quite typical for us too - being alone in peace. The names for the single plates: 1. Onkija meaning Angler 2. Kala meaning Fish 3. Purjevene meaning Sailboat This set was designed in the very beginning of the 2000s.
