Special devotion to Our Lady of Silence was brought to our awareness by Pope Francis. Meditating on this Marian title one Advent, the image of a mother holding a sleeping baby kept coming to my mind, along with the phrase "Seek his face." This sweet drawing contains the text of Psalm 27:8, paired with a contemporary image of Mary, sleeping baby Jesus, & symbols from the traditional icon. As you pass by this image in your home, may you experience peace & a reminder to pause & "seek his face." The original watercolor measured 11x14 inches, & was created with archival ink pens & Ecoline liquid watercolors. This listing is for a 12x16, 11x14, 8x10 or 5x7 inch print of my original painting, each signed in pencil on the back by the artist(me), along with the name & date of the piece. This image is also available as a set of 12 prayercards (2.5x3 inch) or 8 notecards (4.5x5 inch) with the scripture & "Our Lady of Silence, Pray for Us" in black & white hand-lettering on the back. Prayercard sets are enclosed in a perfectly sized organza bag, notecards in a lovely kraft box with a sweet sisal bow, perfect for gifting. Prints are professionally run on 100 lb, acid free paper using environmentally sensitive inks, & signed & dated by the artist (me). After careful packaging in a protective plastic sleeve with a rigid backing board, they are mailed via USPS in a document/photo envelope.
