Love theme Maggi Baaring (1913 - 2004) is one of the few women among poster artists. in 1929 she was apprenticed as a sign painter at Illum. Maggi Baaring worked for various advertising agencies until, at the age of 24 she became a freelance illustrator, & supplied drawings for books & short stories in weekly magazines. in her own time she was well known, especially her eye-catching cover pictures for the magazine Hjemmet in the 1940s & 1950s. This tin was produced for Irma (danish chain of supermarkets) 27 of Denmark's most prominent artists has illustrated theese coffee tins for the Irma stores.
