This is a fantastic Vintage Inuit Soap Stone Carving. This stone sculpture of a "Mother & Child" was done with terrific, intricate details. Piece is not signed. Figure looks to have had a spear or harpoon in her left hand, which has gone astray & is no longer present. At the time of listing I have several of these delightful sculptures, which all look to have been made by the same hand. Each is Sold SEPARATELY, but the other 2 are shown in the last couple of photos. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with very subtle signs of age & wear, though nothing remarkable or distinctive. There is a small "cut" on the underside of the fishes tail, does not look like a chip as the edges are crisp & precise, (please see photo 7 & 8).
