This winking chef is a hanging notepad holder for a grocery list. There is also a place for a standard size pencil. The body of the holder is made from red hard plastic. The facial features & hair are black. He is wearing a yellow scarf. The black & yellow are hand painted. Embossed on the back is "A Royal Product - Made in U.S.A. - Pat. Pend.". There is a hole at the top so it can be hung. It is 7-1/4" tall x 3-5/8" wide x 5/8" deep. The standard size pencil goes to the far right. The note pad sits on the left. That space will hold a 3" wide notepad. This fun piece is from the 1940s. This hanging chef notepad holder was used. There are scuffs & scratches to the plastic. The only wear to the paint is a small nick on the scarf that you can see in picture #2. There is a line at the neck that is visible on the back. It does not go through to the front. This can be seen in picture #7. It stops at the line. The rest are mold marks. If you push really hard on the neck section, it could break.
