Our OR-1 Oriole Feeder was one of the first feeders we designed 30 years ago & it works so well it is still the design we use today! Orioles find the deep, vibrant orange of the base & top of our oriole feeder irresistible. The color draws them in naturally as ripe, juicy fruits do in the wild. We use the same proven clear, up-swept feeding tube design as our HB-1 Hummingbird Feeder which allows easy access for the much larger orioles & still allows you to watch them drinking. One of the best perks of this feeder is that it not only attracts orioles but Indigo Buntings, Purple Finches, American Goldfinches, & of course hummingbirds all enjoy drinking from the OR-1, too! The larger birds mentioned don't feed while hovering so we designed the feeder to have a generous pair of non metallic perches, but even hummers will land for a break while feeding.
