These simple & traditional marble bowls can be used for a variety of applications, but specifically, they are ideal for burning cone incense, as well as holding smudge bundles or Palo Santo sticks. If filled with sand, they may also be suitable for use with charcoal discs & resin incense. They are very versatile, with a simple traditional design that will surely accent any home, meditation space, altar or mesa. If using with charcoal discs, incense burner sand MUST BE USED in the bowl to absorb the heat. Fill bowl with sand 3/4 of the way before placing charcoal atop sand. . If NOT used in this way, bowl will grow very hot, & may break and/or damage surfaces & become a potential fire hazard. As with any incense burner of this nature, be sure to use on a heat safe surface. Do not keep incense burners within the reach of pets or small children.
