Description
An African hand carved head rest. There is a sticker on the bottom of the piece. It says it is a Kings head rest from the Waha tribe of Tanzania. They are a part of the Bantu ethnic group of the Kigoma region in Tanzania. It names the artist as Abu Soutt Wed , I think . The wood used is stated to be mahuhu from Kenya. The headrest is very well carved with beautiful detail. The headrest stands 7 1/4" tall at the highest point . lowest point is 6 1/2". The rest of the measurements are 7 1/4" long by 2 1/2" wide.
