BEADED EVENING BAG...Richer Bag By Walborg...1950s...J.M. Towne & Co. Caldwell...Beaded Flowered Clutch...Hong Kong...Vintage. This beautiful clutch features a satin cream/beige body with flowers & leaves made of tiny brown beads with silver beaded centers. The body of the bag also features gold sequins with brown beaded centers throughout. The front & back are different flowered patterns with 7 flowers in the front & 3 in the back. Beading detail along the sides as well! Amazing detail, craftsmanship & design! It has a rhinestone snap closure & gold toned hardware. It has a chain attached that can be used or tucked inside. The inside is yellow satin with a pocket. It has two tags: one is " JM Towne & Co. Caldwell", a fashion store in Caldwell, NJ that sold the purse, & one that says "Richere by Walborg" Hong Kong" where the bag was created. Some wearing/small stain marks on the satin around the left edge of the bag. I haven't tried to clean it for fear of damaging it. Also a stain spot on the upper inside pocket & one spot inside. All the beads, flowers, leaves & sequins are intact & look great A great looking purse in good vintage condition for its 70 year old age! Still relevant in today's world of fashion! Great retro piece! Go out for a night on the town in style! This purse with all of it's neutral colors will match just about anything! Measures 4 3/4" x 8 1/2 inches from bottom to top & side to side excluding the snap closure.
