Vintage promotional recipe booklet from Monarch Ranges. I imagine salesmen would give these out if you were looking for a new range or maybe you got this booklet free if you bought a Monarch range. The book has recipes & cartoons of the main character - Dora (and her dog) - & her diary entries. The cartoons were drawn by Lois Fischer - I couldn't find anything about her online but they all have a classic, retro style to them. I don't see any dates on the booklet, but I assume it's from the 50s. There are also several amazing pictures of vintage ranges inside, including one with a drawer that you pull out to use the four electric stove burners - I actually saw one of these in a home here in Minneapolis, it was pretty cool! A great collectible item overall & you could still try out some of the recipes! The booklet measures 4 1/2 by 6 inches & has 31 pages. The booklet has held up amazingly well. There is some wear around the edges & creases in the corners, but no stains (hard to find for a book of recipes). Let me know if you have questions - thanks!
