Vintage ANRI Thoren Rotating Wooden Music Box ANRI Toriart music boxes presented in this style were retired years ago & they are no longer in production. This vintage ANRI music box plays the tune 'Happy Birthday.' I tested the winding mechanism & it works. It has an ANRI-made rotating wooden case & the figures are crafted from a combination of wood & composite. The music mechanism is Swiss made by Thorens. The rotating wooden music box features a painted figure of a young boy in a garden looking at a birthday cake served on a small table in front of him. The cake has five lighted candles. The "garden" where the boy stands is decorated with hand colored flowers & two birds perched on top of a picket fence. One bird has a birthday card in its beak. Music plays by winding the key on the bottom & pulling out the wooden side knob/toggle to start & stop the music. While base turns, boy turns, as well. Stands about 5" tall x 4 1/4" across the base. in Very Good vintage condition. The wind-up key operates smoothly, music box works, melody is clear & nice. This ANRI music box will be a perfect gift for boy celebrating his 5th birthday. Sans the original box. Will ship boxed via USPS Priority Mail.
