Very Pretty Antique French Pharmacy Jar - an a lovely shade of amber. This jar has two labels. The traditional black & gold with red that reads Anis Vert. The label has some wear in the lower right corner but still shows well. The label on the back is plain & Anis Vert is handwritten. It looks as if it was applied on top of another label that was there once upon a time. There is a small label around the rim but I can't make out the handwriting. The cork is gone but the lovely metal cover still remains. Faded & slight rusted red with gold striping. It is in overall nice condition. There is a 1/4 inch chip on the inside of the rim but doesn't show with the lid on. The jar measures 8 1/4 tall & is 3 1/2 inches wide at the base. Displays well!
