The object: Rörstrand, Gösta Grähs lovely bulldog figurine with cheeky expression & wonderful glazing. It was decorated by hand, giving it a unique touch. Gunnar designed the bowl in the 1950s at the Rörstrand factory. Brilliant piece from the Nordic pottery master! Material: Stoneware. The Item is in excellent vintage condition as per photos, only minor signs of wear. (Compare to Pamono website for price difference). Marked with: Rörstrand, Sweden, & signed by artist "G.G." Approx height 7 cm The artist: Gösta Grähs (1938-) was one of Sweden's leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. After his art studies at "Konstfack" in Stockholm, he ran his own studio for may years before working for Rörstrand in the 1980s. Gösta became a prominent designer of figurines & teapot with swelling shapes & humorous expression. His artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art & Design.
