This is such a fun retro necklace. A vintage bus token hangs from an antique brass or silver plate chain. This is truly a unique piece of history & nostalgia. These tokens were used from 1950's until 1960's for bus & street-car lines. The tokens measure 5/8 inch (16 mm) in diameter. A fantastic gift for a guy or gal. Your choice of an authentic 1950s Little Rock, Arkansas Transit Token -The Citizens Coach Company (CCC) was formed as a compromise between local government officials in Little Rock & national union leaders of the Amalgamated Association of Street, Electric Railway, & Motor Coach Employees of America. or Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit MTA Token. These vintage tokens were first issued in 1958 until 1964 by the MTA for bus & street-car lines. The street-cars eventually fell out of favor & were replaced by buses. This token reads "Los Angeles - Metropolitan Transit Authority". or New Jersey Trenton Transit bus token. These vintage tokens were used in the 1940's & 1950's.
