Not in another fashion Tydeus gnawed The temples of Menalippus in disdain, Than that one did the skull & the other things. - Paul Gustave Doré 1832 - 1883 was a French artist, engraver, illustrator, & sculptor. Doré worked primarily with wood engraving & steel engraving. This original 9" x 13" reprint from Italy is from 1939. It's printed on quality paper & is in lovely condition. It's tanned just a tiny bit to a light ecru color (think vanilla ice cream) & it's blank on the reverse side. Monos would be simply fabulous matted in a bright color & framed in either black or gold. Matted, framed, & displayed as a gallery grouping, these fabulous black, & white book prints are simply spectacular.
