FRESHWAY COFFEE FRESH ROASTED Packed for LEADWAY FOODS Chicago, Ill., San Francisco, Calif. It is somewhat amazing that this block survived. The coupon expiration date is, "June 1, 1950." It seems extraordinary to hang on to a block that was dated in this way. That is magnified by the size: 11-9/16" x 4-3/4" x 15/16". The subject matter, condition & size of this block are wonderful. We have a very large collection of blocks from the Woolson Spice Company which was originally located in Toledo, Ohio. Some of the blocks are for coffees that were distributed by other companies, but mostly related to Woolson in one way or another. I am trying to get to some of the larger blocks. They are only getting a rough cleaning so that we can get them listed. So they may not be as clean as what we usually send out. For those who aren't aware, printing is a dirty business...honest, beautiful dirt. The block is metal mounted on wood. All of our printing items are in used condition. We have only given them a quick cleaning for the purposes of photographing them with lots of detail. But frequently these cuts do have imperfections, particularly on the outside edges of the images.
