I found a collection of old clock faces & clock movements from an old jeweler, & I think he probably repaired or maintained clocks in his day. Judging by the style of the Arabic numerals, I suspect this is mid-century, around the 1950s & 1960s when designers were being a bit more playful & fun in their stylized number designs. Marked "Made by Gilbert At Winsted, Conn, U.S.A." at the very bottom, there is also "Gilbert 1807" printed under the center hole. The face is metal, probably tin, which has the raised numbers mounted. It is in fair to good condition, with obvious wear & tear, some minor scratches & dings, all of which attest to its age & a good working life. It measures about 6 1/8" in diameter, & the perimeter is about 1/8" thick. The center hole & the holes near the 4 & 8 are about 5/16" in diameter, & the they are about 2" on center away from the center hole. FREE shipping within the United States.
