A nice set of 1939 New Yorks Worlds Fair collector plates made by Nittsjo of Sweden. This set of trays is hand painted & artist signed. One tray features a hand painted image of a young boy with a blue cap on & the words Blekinge - Sweden which is a large southern province in Sweden. The second tray features a young woman in ceremonial dress with a head piece on & the words Smaland - Sweden a southern province in Sweden. The detail is nice on these small plates which measure 5" wide by 1" tall at the rim. The underside has the New York Worlds Fair 1939 & NS Sweden stamped in the base. The original Nittsjo Sweden foil sticker is also attached along with SD artists written in ink.
